Side notes: The art is on good level and the stories short so it's pretty fast to read. I do like it but it's not my favorite manga... though it's fun.
Main characters
Mao Saitou (斉藤 マオ)
Mao Saito is a high school boy with purple hair and greenish-golden eyes. He is best friends with Chika.
He has a sister named Mako who is older than him and has the same eye and hair color as him too. He isn't as sure of what to do in the future as his friend, Chika, and his sister, Chiko, are.
His hobby is to spend time with Chika, as Mao says over the phone when Chika asks him what his hobbies are. He is also pretty close to Chika's sister, Chiko since they both share a liking to anime and manga.
Mao and Chika are sometimes thought of by other girls to be gay since they are so close that they are referred to as "two peas in a pod."
Although he isn't as talkative as his best friend, Chika, he is really kind hearted to everyone especially Chiko by always encouraging her with her drawings and writings on manga.
He likes Chiko (Chika's older sister), and tries to describe her to Chiko when she asks him, but she doesn't realize the girl he is talking about is her. Even Chika doesn't realize that Mao likes his sister.
Mako Saitou (斉藤 マコ)
Mako is the elder sister of the Saitō siblings and is a part-time worker outside (waitress at a restaurant). Her education status is unknown.
Just like her little brother she can be pretty quiet, but she can also be straightforward. She also has a weird side where she is seen practicing an alien language with her hand puppet in the first episode of the anime. Beside that she is and idol otaku.
Mako's dream is to save the world being a heroine by defeating anyone in her way which is similar Chiko's dream which is to conquer the world.
It was stated that she has a brother complex in episode 12.
Chika Shinmoto (新本 チカ)
Chika is a high school (3rd-year) boy with blond hair and light blue eyes just like his sister Chiko. He is a narcissist and thinks highly of himself also like his sister. Chika's dream was to conquer the world. Mao Saitou is his best friend as they have been very close for a long time like "two peas in a pod" or so they say.
Later on the story, he isn't sure about what his hobby is resulting him to think of himself as a dull person. He calls Mao and asks if he has a hobby and he says it's to spend time with him. That's is when he realizes that is also his hobby too.
Since he and Mao are so close, lots of girls think they are gay, but a lot still confess to him because of his good looks.
Chika is really close to Mao's sister, Mako, since they both love girls. He gets attracted to any sexy girl he can see, but he actually has a really kind, light hearted spirit.
Chiko Shinmoto (新本 チコ)
Chiko is the elder sister of the Shinmoto siblings and is a 3rd-year university student.
Chiko is a really energetic girl, but can also be lazy at times. Beside that she is 'obsessed' with handsome guys where you can see in the first episode of the anime, that she doesn't seem to like to go to the college just because there aren't any handsome guys.
Chiko's dream is to conquer the world which is similar to Mako's which is to save the world being a heroine by defeating anyone in her way. She is called an otaku by Chika but seems to hate being called like that. Instead, she wants to be called as a bishojo (a beautiful girl).
She also likes yaoi where you can see in episode 8 that she wrote her own yaoi story and tries to sell it.
Ui Umezono (梅園 ウイ)
Chiko's University friend, who has an interest in cosplay, as she is seen at an anime festival, in a costume.
