What they had arrived to was an uninhabited village with faint, lingering scents of life as it was falling apart.
Just what is the secret of Nanakimura?

Side notes: This manga nor the anime aren't that much liked so I can't promise you the best ride forever. I started to watch the anime but as it got past the halfway I became too busy to follow it up to the end. So I don't know the actual end yet.^-^ The art on this manga is on a good level and I like it... so I do hope that it can pick up the pieces that were left behind the anime and work out a decent story.
Main characters
Mitsumune Sakai (光宗)
Mitsumune is an alias that the main character used for the online website.
Mitsumune is shown to be awkward around girls, and says he is "quick to fall in love." He is shown to have a righteous personality, and portrays his ideals clearly. His age is not specified yet, but it is shown that he is currently at an age to be in cram school, so he is likely in his young-adult to older-adolescence years.
Hayato (颯人)
One of the members in the expedition for Nanakimura village. He apparently has a quiet personality and rarely interacts with anyone besides Mitsumune.
Spoiler:
When younger, Hayato decided to protect Mitsumune from getting bullied in school. Ever since, he gets angry whenever Mitsumune is about to do something inappropriate.
He was abused by his parents who lived in a posh residential area. They didn't fit in with the neighbours, so they tried to show off their 'ideal' son. If Hayato did anything his parents disliked, he would get abused and thrown into the attic, where his grandmother was left to die.
Spoiler ends
Masaki (真咲)
Masaki is the main female protagonist of Mayoiga and one of the 30 individuals aboard the bus to Nanakimura. She is a 17-year-old student with a bright and earnest personality, but has a slight dislike of mysterious young ladies.
Masaki is a strange girl who believes in what she thinks. It's implied that Masaki may have an odd ability to see or sense things in the future, though this has never been directly seen in the episodes. She's very emotional and has random outbursts from time to time, even asking Mitsumune if she was "off her rocker" in episode 1. She also has motion sickness.
Koharun (こはるん)
Age: 26
Occupation: graduate student
She has been researching Nanakimura for a while but couldn't find any information on the location until one day she received a mysterious email which had the information she wanted.

After a few mishaps, they successfully arrive at Nanaki Village only to find it completely abandoned. Judging from the state of disrepair, it has been vacant for at least a year.
