Side notes: There is actually two chapters translated but the first one is kinda intro for the series and it has nothing good to add for the actual first chapter. The art is pretty confusing. It's mostly "low level" end of the average shounen style with sketchy "action" drawings. There are also hints of good level art mixed with the "bad" which is almost frustrating for me to see. But there is light after darkness and the style gets better as the story gets going.

R17 comes from my rating as there is lots of violence mixed into the first two chapters that is enough for me to rate it with age tag. Bato.to doesn't flag this so it's good to take that to account too.^-^

And I noticed that it probably helps a bit to know about the original story of Journey to the West and it's characters.^-¨b
