Synopsis: The noble William possesses a rare kind of intelligence. The school he attends and his family background both draw much attention. However, one day, his family loses money after his uncle's business fails. Worrying about how this would affect his school's reputation, he returns home to help the family butler search for things to sell. What they found was an underground room that had been used by William's ancestors. The room contains a magical seal, with which William unintentionally summons a demon. The demon, Dantalion tells William that has the ability to choose the king of the demon world! Naturally, the candidates for king will come after William...who will become king in the end?! (MAL)
Baka updates: William Twining is blessed with both brains and wealth. He attends a prestigious school and lives in a huge mansion with his uncle and butler. But when his uncle's business endeavours fail, the Twining family is left bankrupt. While searching in a storeroom of his home for objects to put up for sale, William stumbles upon a secret room. This room contains a magical seal, with which he unintentionally summons a demon. This demon, Dantalion, tells William that he wields sole authority in selecting the "substitute ruler" of the demon world! So naturally, the candidates for the throne will pursue the bewildered and annoyed young man.

Main characters
William Twining (ウイリアム・トワイニング)
Birthday: June 6
The main character of the story. A noble with great intelligence whose family is said to be older than the royal family itself. Four years before the actual story his parents were killed in an accident. His uncle, Barton, took him in after the accident. In the story he attends Stratford academy. He is also known as descendant of King Solomon and the elector, who has the ability to choose the king of demon world. (Modified by me.)
Kevin Cecil (ケヴィン=セシル)
Twining family butler. His family served the Twining family for generations. At some point in time, Uriel the Archangel of Repentance and Cruelty, took over the identity of Kevin Cecil in William's life in order to be close to him, the inheritor of Solomon's soul.
Uriel took on the position of the school priest at William's school to make sure the demons don't get to him. Though he has grown to respect some of the demons and allows them to get near William, with the exception of Dantalion. (Modified by me.)
Camio (カミオ)
Known as "Nathan Cackstone," head boy of Stratford. A demon general, the 53rd pillar who commands 30 armies, a great president of Hell. He is a half-demon, born of a human woman. He is rumored to be the illegitimate son of Lucifer, and of possessing power surpassing the four kings. Beloved by Maria Mollins, his human form is that of a young man holding a sabre, but his true form is that of a thrush. He can tell his summoner what birds and animals are saying, as well as the meaning behind the sound that water makes. A candidate for substitute king nominated by Beelzebub.
Dantalion Huber (ダンタリオン)
Dantalion is a candidate who wishes to succeed the throne of the demon world. He's the 71st of Solomon's 72 Pillars and the Grand Duke that leads 36 armies of Hell. He first meets William when he confronts him, saying that he finally found the "one who has Solomon's soul." It's revealed in the first chapter that he has some kind of contract with King Solomon.
Special Skills: Illusions, mind reading, and the ability to create imitations of humans.
Sytry Cartwright (シトリー・カートライト)
Sitri is another candidate to succeed the throne in the demon world. He is the 12th of Solomon's 72 Pillars, who reigns over sixty armies of Hell.
-Special Skills-
He has the ability to stir up human desire. He is especially able to make women show themselves naked, if he so desires.
