Main characters
A-ya (A弥)
A pessimistic boy with black messy hair and red sanpaku eyes. A-ya is a rather quiet, unsocial student with the unusual hobby to start rumors. The purpose behind this is giving his usually boring life an exciting twist, as he greatly dislikes his life as it currently is and seeks for the thrill of fear and his interest in urban legend.
Together with his childhood friend C-ta and the female students B-ko and D-ne, they all gather at what have been a music room in the old school building to talk about the occult and search for the school rumored items: the Book of Demise and Bookmark of Demise.
- He had his debut in the song Hide and Seek of Isolation.
C-ta (C太)
A-ya's childhood friend. He's generally kind and laidback. He is also the most calm and level-headed of the four main characters. C-ta often makes fun of A-ya and B-ko's bickering. He is skilled at making fun of people and smiles a lot. He is shown to be popular, but has difficulty talking to girls. He also speaks for A-ya a lot, chiming in to help him every so often.
In reality, C-ta is one of the most mentally unstable of all the characters. As a child he and A-ya always played together because their families were friends. A-ya, normally antisocial, often did not express his thoughts or feelings, leaving C-ta to do it for him. Because of this, C-ta had a hero complex for a while, believing that A-ya was useless without him. This was reinforced when A-ya once thanked him for everything, leading him to hold an obsessive desire to monopolize A-ya for himself. He even placed microphones, tracking devices, and cameras into A-ya's house and room, claiming that it was to protect him because he was A-ya's 'one and only best friend'.
C-ta has a dangerous co-dependency on A-ya, meaning that he is dependent on A-ya's dependence. However, C-ta holds a beautified version of A-ya in his mind's eye; an A-ya that was helpless and wholly dependant on C-ta, who confided his thoughts with only C-ta and would never harm another person. If A-ya ever breaks any parts of his mental image, it causes C-ta to go spiraling into depression and strengthen his desire to monopolize A-ya even more.
- He had his debut in the song Perfect Crime Love Letter.

D-ne (D音)
D-ne is a quiet girl who admires B-ko a lot. She often compliments B-ko and tells her that she likes her. Despite her shy nature, she enjoys poking fun at people until she hits a nerve.
- She had her debut in the song Warning of Impostors, which tells about her being the doppelganger of B-ko, whom she admires.
B-ko (B子)
B-ko is said to be the most popular and beautiful girl in the school the characters are attending, excelling in both her studies and sports. Although she appears nice, cute and cheerful to most people, she has a hidden, aggressive side, that only her three friends seem to know.
