Synopsis: In his past life, although too weak to protect his home when it counted, out of grave determination Nie Li became the strongest Demon Spiritist and stood at the pinnacle of the martial world. However, he lost his life during the battle with the Sage Emperor and six deity-ranked beasts.
His soul was then brought back to when he was still 13 years old. Nie Li is a member of the Heavenly Marks Family, a declining and weak aristocratic family. His initial talent is considered by others to be poor and is lacking in culture and social position. However, he retains all the knowledge he gathered while roaming the Divine Continent in his past life. Using that, he plans to cultivate himself to far greater heights in this life. He also gathers allies who protected Glory City in his previous life. With his massive amount of knowledge, he helps his friends and family become stronger so that they can have a better chance at survival. These include: his best friends Du Ze and Lu Piao; Du Ze's followers Zhang Ming, Zhu Xiangjun, and Wei Nan; his past love Ye Ziyun; and Xiao Ning'er.
He has a very calm and determined personality. Though his appearance is that of a thirteen year old, he truly has the mind of someone far older and more experienced. This often times confuses those around him.
Ye Ziyun (also: Ye Zi Yun)

One of the students in the fighter apprentice class with Nie Li, very few know her background. She is a member of the strongest family in Glory City, Snow Wind Family. Her grandfather is the legend rank demon spiritualist Ye Mo, and her father, Ye Zong, is the current City Lord. Her mother died when she was young, and because her father and grandfather have always been busy, she doesn't see them a lot.
She has a sweet and welcoming personality, though she can be competitive at times. She is not a very decisive person and does not always understand her own emotions.

One of the students in the fighter apprentice class with Nie Li. She is a member of the noble Winged Dragon family. One of the main motivations behind her strong determination in training is her wish to escape from an arranged a marriage between her and the Sacred Family's Shen Fei, who she does not like.
She is a cold and anti-social beauty. Her personality is that of a serious student, unyielding woman with a strong determination.

A fellow student at Holy Orchid Institute in the fighter apprentice class with Nie Li. He comes from the very poor commoner Du family, but his nature is very hard working and his talent is not bad. He has a very straight forward, honorable, and overly serious type of personality. He acts a bit like the responsible older brother and nags Lu Piao about his lazy nature leading to friendly arguments between them. He looks up to Nie Li and respects him a great deal.

Lu Piao is one of Nie Li's best friends along with Du Ze. He is a member of the noble Lu family of Glory City and is a student at Holy Orchid Institute. Lu Piao is a very lazy individual, lacking in ambition but he's willing to work harder when following the lead of those around him. He is known for being very loyal to his friends and is the more playful and cowardly one out of his group. Even though he's from nobility, he treats commoners equally. Lu Piao fears his father hitting him which happens when he's disappointed.
Duan Jian
A male youth with dragon wings, who was the product of a Silver Winged woman falling in love with Duan Yun, a member of the Black Dragon Family. Both of his parents were killed and he was tortured by the Silver Winged Family. He was brutally being whipped when Nie Li first saw him.
After Nie Li is able to not only free him, but also provide him the power to get revenge, he swore to serve him. He has a quiet and dignified personality. He has a very simple way of viewing the world and once he chooses a person to follow he is extremely loyal.
