Main characters

Lena Ha

Lena is an intelligent and strong Korean girl who is the captain of the Kendo team; she lives with her single mother, a self proclaimed 'Herb Fanatic'. When a new student, Hye-Min, transfers into her school and joins the kendo team he first mistakes her for a boy but before long they discover their love for each other. However, it is revealed that Hye-min and Lena are half-siblings. Due to the shock Lena breaks up with Hye-Min but Hye-Min's mother sends thugs after Lena. In an attempt to protect Lena, Hye-Min is badly injured and near death, and the enraged mother of Hye-Min now sends assassins who kill Lena's mother before Lena can warn her. While attempting to escape herself, Lena is stabbed by the assassins and falls into a nearby river; when she wakes up she finds herself in a strange world and she discovers that she might be its only hope!

Upon her arrival in the Scottish middle ages, she hides her sex and calls herself "Ley" and is known as a fearsome warrior. Her actions and words show the charisma of "a born leader", causing many to follow her instinctively. When she meets Maren, of the Leon tribe with the gift to only speak the truth, she is told that she was originally from the current world. A child of Jira (Zira), who became a concubine of the King of Aran, she had been stolen as a baby by the previous Queen Arianna who had become mentally unstable from the loss of her son to her daughter who later became Queen Elinor. It is still unknown which world Lena truly is from.

Michael

Michael is another companion/traveler of Ley's who is quite mysterious. He seems to have an untrustworthy aura around him, and therefore both Cid and Ley are slightly wary of him. It is revealed he is a "toy" of an aristocrat's wife sent to capture the child of the prophecy (Ley). But he falls in love with Ley, and after finding out she's actually a girl, he kisses her on the lips while telling himself not to give her up yet.

Lucien Wycelf

He is the rightful king of Tamir who lost his kingdom to the Earl of Auye plunging his subjects into tyranny and poverty. At one point he tries to reclaim his kingdom through a marriage alliance with the powerful, but tyrannical Queen Elinor. He and Ley meet each other in a dream, and he proclaims her his true love and kisses her before a shadow, later discovered to be Queen Elinor, takes him away. Upon waking, he decides to ignore the dreams of love and continue his political advancement through marriage. He later meets Ley and is confused by the fact that Ley is a "man" though he cannot shake the feelings he has toward Ley. He later discovers that Ley true gender during the gladiator battle that took place the day before he was to be wed to Queen Elinor.

Sharis

Sharis is a short-tempered, young girl with excellent archery skills. She attempted to murder the Earl in his sleep, however she was badly injured and barely managed to escape. Sean finds her in the woods and brings her back to Cid. After she recovers, she becomes the last of "the five" to join Ley's group.

Cid

Cid is one of Ley's early companions, who in his attempt for revenge against his father's murderer the famous tribe of the Jager. He meets Ley soon after Ley escapes from the slave traders aka the Jager tribe and team up with Ley to save the rest of the slaves including Sean. With Ley's help he and the rest of the slaves escape the cave and earn their freedom. Because of Ley's actions Cid is convinced that Ley is, the child of the prophecy, which he had heard so much about and so he, Ley and Sean headed out together.

He's one of "The Five".

Sean Renock III

Sean Renock the 3rd, is one Lena/Ley's first companion, Sean is a bored prince who after a fight with his father leave the castle and heads toward the city. During a bar fight he witnesses Ley's skill and becomes quite interested in him and he begins to follow him, although Ley is aware of this and has stated that he may follow him but he aka Ley will not save him if he is in danger. But do know about his true indentity? Or will it stay as a secret forever? And he may know know yet, but someone is after his life...

Sean is a very pure-hearted and inexperienced boy, and as a result is often the butt of jokes about his ineptitude.

He's one of "The Five".
