Synopsis: Makoto wants to become a Tosa dog fighting trainer. His sumo Father Rouou gets him a brown puppy, but is it really a Tosa? Makoto finds out in shock that his dog is not a Tosa, but in fact a Siberian Wolf, but decides to make his dog "Zero" a fighting dog. But Makoto does not know that Zero's mother had been killed by Anzai's Yokozuna Tosa "Unryū" right in front of him, and he competes in the showring with the sole intention of getting revenge on Unryū.

Side notes: I'm not favoring dog fights (nor like them) so in that respect I'm probably won't be reading this but taking a peek how the subject is dealt with in this series.

Zero was brought from Canada to Japan and given to Yoshimura as a gift. His humans thought he was a tosa puppy, but after a fight with the evil tosa Unryu, they found out that he was an Alaskan malamute. One night, Zero dreams of his father. As he wakes up he finds out that his father has traveled from Canada to Japan to bring him home. He follows his father eagerly, but the peace doesn’t last long. They meet Unryu on the way. Zero’s father fights to protect him, but gets murdered in front of Zero’s eyes. From that day forward, Zero started training to become the best fighting dog and kill Unryu.
