Novel (Version):

Chang An, capital of Tang. General Xuan Wei was accused of treason because he offended Great General Xiang Hou, leading to the execution of all of his family members. Amidst the incident, a young boy named Ning Que managed to get away, dug out from a pile of corpses along with a little girl called Sang Sang. Years passed, and since that day the two of them lived together. Together with Sang Sang they booth entered the military, with plausible military achievements, they were recommended into the Scholar School, which began their miraculous journey. Is Ning Que a son of a demon, or an incarnation of a saint…

Side notes: There has been now 20 Manhua chapters released from the translators side and LN version has entered to the 3rd volume (total of 5 volumes) in translation but both translation processes seem a bit unsure. But if you're not willing to wait more manhua chapters to be released and wish to deepen your knowledge of the manhua it's better to check out the Novel version too (Mecha Mushrooms link above). The continuation of the manhua translation is now on hiatus 'cause the Demonic Scanlations is disbanded and I don't know any new groups to pick it up.

Also for the manhua as it is now (in 20 chapters) the art is pretty great but the adaptation from the novel to graphic version isn't that good. Although you get  a good impression from the manhua there are still some time skips that make you wonder what is happening, why MC has such of hatred towards some people etc. and these are the reasons why I added the novel synopsis beside the manhua synopsis to give bit more background information.

hard freeze her body temperature so that she dies.
