Background
Taiyou no Ie received the 38th Kodansha Manga Award for the shoujo manga category in 2014.

The series received a drama CD adaptation bundled with limited edition pressings of the fifth and sixth volumes.

Side notes: This is my kinda Award winning section pick up today.XDDD I got interested of the plot but there is still a big jump me to read the manga. My problem is on the romance - I really am not keen if it's put on pedestal and everything else is dictated by it. I like if it written as part of the story equal aspect with others, not as the only thing that carries it. So it's something that I'm pushing to read and not... but for having this many volumes published I'm more or less thinking that it must be good after all.^-^b 

For some reason there has been lots of shoujo mangas coming up and I'm relatively adding them to my list but not reading them so actively. Still the balance on this blog is at the moment, I think on shounen side but today there is more than just one shoujo so, it's starting change the image of this blog again. - Wonder where I'm heading. O.o



Mao Motomiya (本宮 真魚)

Childhood friends with the Nakamuras' and has a lonely childhood that consisted of an empty house, an unloyal mother, and a emotionally scarred father. Her parents are divorced. She lives with Nakamura Hiro and Nakamura Daiki because of and unloving atmosphere with her father and his new wife and daughter. Is in love with Hiro and he with her.




Mao Motomiya (本宮 真魚)
Age: 24
Birthday: October 31
Height: 169-175 cm
Situation: Working
Family members (currently): Daiki and Hina

At the end of the series, Hiro proposes to Mao saying he wants to become a family with her, meaning he wants to marry her in the future, to which she accepts.
