Synopsis: Ever since he was little, Akira wanted to be a rugby player. But since he lived on a tiny island with no other children, it was very difficult for him to learn how to play. Now Akira is heading to high school, and he's going to try to make his dreams of playing rugby and having friends come true!

* MAL lists an alternative version for this manga with the same name with the same publication dates but with 2 volumes. The mix-up might be due of an oneshot/s that is listed on baka but I'm not sure is it stand alone piece or prequel/ sequel to the main manga (Online readers sites list these oneshots as prequel works). The second reason for the mix-up is the falsely marked chapter number that should be two (?) instead of volume count of 2.

Side notes: I liked this manga a lot although it had a rushed ending and it never got a real chance to be something like Yowamushi pedal or Kuroko no Basuke. And still I felt that it really had a potential to be something like those two or same as Diamond no ace. It also made me start reading other sports mangas.... and find Ahiru no sora.^-^

The art is pretty good as well as the charas but the plot was rushed to the end. There was a huge gap of what it could have been and what it lastly came to be. The lack of material or the axed story made it lose it's best qualities as a manga. And that also can be seen on the manga's wikia that was created when the manga was published... there was probably a "hope" that this manga would become a big thing but when the story was shortened the wiki also lost its potential to become a source of information... and it too seems to be a lost item in the wikia world

Akira Ujigawa
(宇治川 アキラ)

Ujigawa Akira (referred to sometimes as Akira or just Aki) is the main character of 15: MKKRB. He is a first-year at Miyagi Prefecture Meisetsu Industrial High School and is the kicker of the Meisetsu Rugby Team. 

His most distinctive features are his bright red hair that sticks straight upwards and falls a little beneath his large brown eyes. He is usually seen wearing his school uniform or his rugby clothes. On casual days he can be seen wearing normal getup, such as a polo and some jeans. His jersey number is 15.

Yui Ebina (海老名 唯)

2nd year. One of the "wings" on Meisetsus team, along with first year Megumi Sano. He wears the number 11. Yui is fair-skinned and has brown hair and brown eyes. His build is slender and though he is taller than the first-years, he is not one of the tallest team members. He is said by Akira to have "beautiful hair, white skin, slender arms, long legs," and "big eyes".

He prioritizes getting the team to Hanazano, and is extremely pleased when Akira joins the club, as the team needed "someone who can kick". Having grown up alone and having only been able to kick, he was exactly the type of person Yui was looking for.

After Akira joins the team, the two become close- Yui is often seen with his hand on Akira's shoulder or on his back.
