Synopsis: The story revolves around a little girl named Kohina. Kohina ends up summoning a Kokkuri-san, a low-ranking ghost in Japanese folklore. The Kokkuri-san she calls turns out to be a white-haired handsome, young man. At first he had intended to merely haunt her, but soon he becomes worried about her terrible eating habit of cup ramen for every meal. He later decides to haunt her in order to protect her.

Side notes: I really enjoy this manga although I've not read it like every day and by every chapter translated.>.< The art is good and I can't argue if even saying it's great. The forms given to characters are sometimes deformed to extreme but being chibi or not the art stays on good level. Also the stories aren't bad. As far as I can see the anime that was made stayed pretty loyal to the manga and even thou it's sometimes making chras "to live" there was no need to do so now. The manga charas are lively on their own accord.^-^
Main characters
Kohina Ichimatsu (市松 こひな)
She is an elementary school girl who is rather odd and emotionally detached. She lives in a shrine all by herself with no parents or guardians to take care of her. She enjoys eating instant cup noodles and often likes to summon Kokkuri.
She claims that she is a living doll born out of state of the art bio-technology. While she may look vulnerable, she is actually capable of taking down people three times her size, including Kokkuri.

Kokkuri-san (コックリさん)
Kokkuri is an fox animal spirit of one of the folklore and was called by Kohina. When he first appeared, Kohina thought he was a cosplayer because of his ears and white hair. At first he had intended to merely haunt her, but soon he becomes worried about her terrible eating habit of cup ramen for every meal. He later decides to haunt her in order to protect her.
He can become a real fox. He is now a low-ranking ghost, but in the past he was a god of a shrine.
He doesn't get along well with Inugami.

Inugami (狗神)
Inugami is a dog ghost that wants to haunt Kohina. The self-proclaimed stalker, Inugami seeks Kohina's affection going to such links as to knowing virtually everything about her from her favorite food to even her measurements.
Because Inugami doesn't know what gender he/she was before his/her death, Inugami occasionally switches genders from male to female.
Shigaraki (信楽)
He appeared when Kohina was doing Kokkuri-san's ritual. He kind of went with the flow and slowly began to settle into the house of Kohina. He loves alcohol, women and gambling and because of that he has been broke for a million years and he still hasn't got any plans of working.
In the past, he lived in the same house as Kokkuri-san and often caused trouble for him.
He likes making fun of people and often tricks Kohina.
