Side notes: This manhua is here mainly 'cause it's kinda on paper now. The ONA series began airing on this Spring (Zhen Hun Jie) and it made me come back to this series that I've been keeping on hold since... I don't know when.XDDD I didn't like it much then but I thought that it could fit onto my list today mainly for the theme and 'cause it's manhua... and 'cause there is an anime made of it.^-^
Well I think that my first impression might have served right as I read through one review on MAL that stated that the only good thing is the first volume and then things get out of hand both in plot as with the art. The reviewer didn't like the second volume at all and we can only hope that the third volume saves what there is to save or... this is going to be a dramatic ending for reader liking it at first. But see it yourself what do you feel like it and don't mind my mumble a bit.XDDD

Cao Yan Bing, "Flame General"
Cao Yan Bing (曹严冰 Cao Yan Bing lit. Cao Flame Soldier) is the former Requiem General of the Rakshasa Street. He has the body of a Martial God.
Cao is a fairly tall 20 year old, with red hair and a slim build. He is first seen wearing glasses and having long hair, until deciding to stop wearing his glasses and cutting his hair later on.
As a child his parents left him without a word, having to carry the burden of his family and having to protect his brother. One day, he saved a female spirit, as a token of thanks, she decided to look after the brothers. Gradually he began to think of her as a sister, but unfortunately the good times didn't last long. On a certain day, evil spirits invaded their home, with his Guardian Spirit dying in battle, unable to get up. The monsters found it amusing to violate the girl in front of him, while treating her as food, witnessing his own sister being swallowed, right before his eyes. From that night on he swore an oath to find the beasts and rip them into pieces.
