Side notes: This is quite new project and there has been now 4 chapters translated. The art is okay and on the good level for a typical shounen manga. The plot has lots of same elements as Gintama. It might be a lil surprise but I've not read or watched Gintama so I can't compare these two works at all. If you wish to read something similar with Gintama this could be it although this manga's samurai isn't the most strongest nor the best man fighting with a sword. And aliens aren't helping any... all this "suffering" and looking down on samurais is due of westernization.
P.S. One thing I need to say, it'd just love to read a manga without some "cliche moments" that just make the reading experience bad. This manga also have some "cliche" scenes/ plot twist that makes it a bit poor with imagination although the real story hasn't even began to unfold... so guess one has to wait the story go on a bit more.
Sashigane, 19 K
A Civil servant. Lives in the same room as Naguri. Is tsundere and quite cool. His status as civil servant gives him some authority above others and he's respected by many locals. Also a bit clean freak.
Rachette, U
She's an alien species and has lots of physical strength. She has a crush for Sashigane although her feelings seem not to be appreciated. She has low esteem and quite violent nature but she can be totally helpless in most surprising situations. Her friend is a little mouse. She also lives in the same room as Naguri and Sashigane. She's looking for job as a cleaner but her job opportunities have gone down after the robot cleaner became common utilities.
Naguri, 18, D
Self acclaimed samurai who carries a big sword with him. Has lived in the countryside and is unfamiliar with the city life. Doesn't understand city slang used or bureaucratic wording and that makes his actions seem just stupid. He became "Blockhead" due of these reasons. Also jumps to conclusions which can lead him into trouble. Still he is kind and wishes to help those in need.
He can also have other reason to come to the city than just experience something new. >> Looking for his childhood friend that was excellent martial artist although she was a girl. She moved to the city before Naguri and became an Idol.
