Synopsis: Shuuichi Inaba is a student of a special high school for young prodigies and one of the users of the newest and most popular application called 'Alice in Cyberland' - an app with an AI that enables its users to talk to them as with any other human. When some of the students of his high school start to get attacked by a mysterious culprit, Shuuichi is determined to find out who it is. In his investigation, he stumbles upon 'Alice' - a special kind of program, which, in return for helping him with the case, demands only to know something he would usually never tell anyone - his biggest and deepest secret.

Side notes: You may call this as my backup or extra piece of Alice in Wonderland -theme series. I'm picking this up mainly 'cause it's short (although it could have been longer series) and can be read as a side reference for some other mangas that I came up today if they are not fitting to the reading list or feel somehow off beat. The art is good and plot again a bit darker side. Still it stays softer toned compared to others and adapts a shounen detective style of story line. And the sci-fi is a good add on... but all this doesn't make it more than it scores on MAL (6.75).
As this is a side note, I find it a bit lecturing type when the message seems to be don't trust unknown people in the internet or don't let unknown people make the decisions for you without knowing their hidden agenda.
P.S. This manga has rushed ending so don't wait any miracles from it.

Shuuichi Inaba (因幡 秀一)
A happy-go-lucky high school student who stumbles in his midterm and gets involved in a case in which several of his classmates got mysteriously beaten up for apparently no reason at all. He proceeds to solve the case with the help of a shady hacker who calls herself Alice.
He is a bit self centered and doesn't think that he could fail in life in general. He is considered being a "temporary" master of the character Lily (White rabbit ?). And although thinking that he's genius you can call him a bit dumb witted.
Alice (アリス)
A master cracker in Cyberland. She negotiates dealings with users from Alice's Room. She is practically omnipotent in the cyber world and has access to all sorts of information. In return for her service, she demands a secret concerning the user himself or herself, as she claims that she does not understand humans and wants to study them.
