Synopsis: In the future, Nikola Tesla's dream of a 'World System' of electricity is realized. Cords and batteries are a thing of the past, and now people can directly draw energy using devices known as 'coils.' Some people, however, modify these coils for destructive purposes. Mabuchi Kyouma, a man who lives in ruins and has a passion for 'vintage' gas-powered cars, has good reason to know what damage these coils can do. He takes on assignments from a large woman known as Marie, recovering illegal coils in exchange for cash and gasoline.
One day, he goes out on one of his usual missions, to retrieve illegal coils from two criminal brothers, Jony and Every Won. When he gets to their gang's hideout, however, there is another stranger there: a mysterious, cloaked captive that appears to be a young lady. Who is she and will this meeting change Kyouma's life?

Side notes: The art is on this manga is on a good level though it's a bit sketchy or maybe stylized. And although I've seen some of the anime I like the manga more...A-nd!! Yup!! An Anime pick.XDDD I kinda felt that I'm not getting any feel for the charas when I watched the anime but now that I've read some of the manga my feeling is totally different. Maybe it was good to see some of the anime first to get a head start for the manga. This is probably my favorite for this time if not counting Gunnm which is on the Extra manga list today.
Main characters
Mira Yurizaki (百合崎 ミラ)
A highly advanced robot who exhibits human mannerisms and insists that she is a normal girl despite her robotic headgear, metallic tail, and other inhuman physical attributes. Made by Seira and Shidou Yurizaki. After hearing news of her "father's" death, Mira decides to help Kyouma collect illegal Coils. She can override computer systems, use her tail to directly interface with coils, and can detect dimensional distortions. When Koorogi repairs Mira after a stack of cars falls on her, he adds skin-folds to conceal her Coil.
Kyouma Mabuchi (マブチ・キョーマ)
A human Collector who has largely sworn off all Coil-related technology and has a hobby of restoring old gasoline-powered cars in a junkyard. Kyouma now works as an independent contractor who hunts down illegal Coils and those who use them. His preferred weapon are large throwing spikes.
