 Synopsis: Collection of short stories
1-3. Ningyo Ouji-sama
The title story, “The Mermaid Prince,” told in three chapters, is a coming-of-age story set in Okinawa. The boy, Mugi, has a fascination with mermaids. He moved in from Tokyo when his sister got married to a local man, and doesn’t quite fit in. On the day he met the girl, Madori, she was just coming to terms with her new family situation. His thoughtful gesture made her view him as her Prince Charming.

4-5. Ametsukigahara
The third story, “Ametsukigahara,” is a two-parter about a girl named Akari. There’s not much she cares about in this world, except maybe her friendship with Fumika, who’s afraid of boys. But then Fumika gets a boyfriend, and something happens that makes Akari even more jaded than she already was.

6. Yuki no Hi
In the second story, “Snowy Day,” a homeless father and son take refuge from the snow in a library. The librarian soon finds out there is more to them than meets the eye.

Note: Chapter order on MAL and Baka synopsis differ a bit so that's the reason for "wrong" text numbering though Baka's chapters follow the original text setting that I saw on scanlation work.



Side notes: The art at least on the first story is on good level if not even great (I like it). Also the story is good if not minding the start of it (I can live with that).^-^ So as you can see I'm not saying much which also tells you something. I don't have anything to say against nor for the work when I feel it's balanced just right and has all that you need for a good story in it.^-^b



Main characters (1st story)

Mugi. He has good artistic talent but he
is bullied at school. His parents aren't
living at the same place as he is. He lives
with his sister and her husband.
Madori. She is friend of Mugi and feels
bad seeing that he is bullied at school,






















Supporting

Aoi, Mugi's sister. Married with
Kotaru and helps him with the
diving business.
Kotaru a diving instructor. He was once
a free diver but for some reason he isn't
driving like that any more.
