Synopsis: When Hina hits a homerun ball and goes to get it back she realizes she has damaged a shrine with the baseball. When she touches the object inside the shrine the object is absorbed into her and she becomes the shrine's god. Now she is protected by the shrine's guard dogs, Shishi and Koma. Along the way she meets other spirits, guardians, and the legendary nine tailed fox.

Side notes: The art is a bit confusing for me. It's clearly shoujo so nothing about that but the "shock" images are clearly in contradicting this. Story itself is okay and even fun (coming from my mouth that's a lot to say.XDD) Still the story doesn't go overboard and stays loyal to the genre.^-^ So this is staying on my list though I'm not a huge shoujo fan.

Main characters

Hinagiku Matsumoto,  16

A high school girl that lives alone but after an incident gains power to see youkais and other spirits. Her parents have passed away when she was young. Works part-time in a local shop.

Koma

He was made to protect the Misato God and always puts God first. He has a calm nature just like the Misato God. Sometimes he's known as 'God's' errand person. He was originally going to be the 'God' of the manga but ended up becoming a guardian, which is why he's always seen in fancy clothing. He is a 'defense' type Komainu. For a long time he's only protected and defended, so he's not very good at attacking opponents. His original form is a white dog but is able to transform into a human.

Shishi

Shishi was originally a human that had the "Dark Misato God" sealed within him, after the Misato God fell in love with a human. Shishi then became a Komainu for the Misato God and but in return he had to vow never to fall in love with a human. If he were to do so, Shishi's body would turn to dust and vanish. His appearance is about 17-19 years old. He's often seen in his Kimono and feels "empty" without his sword. His weakness is against food - especially sweets, which Hina often bribes him with. He is also an attack type Komainu.
