Side notes: It's been some time since I read this manhwa and I didn't like it that much. I think that I sported it through just to get to read it's sequel Cavalier of the Abyss which was a new manhwa for me to read and I felt that I needed to read the prequel to understand the sequel better. But as I said it's been some time since that happened so I've forgotten happily was it any use for reading the sequel.XDDD



Main characters


Jae Hyuk Chae
A normal human that does some part time work to pay the rent and treat his sickly younger brother. One night he was killed by Demon Necromancer Serin and brought back as an undead. Due the traits of a zombie, sucking life force out of beings near him, he is forced to move out of the human world, joining Serin in the world of "Chaos." Vowing one day to return to the human world to the side of his little brother, Jae Hyuk has to earn the right to possess the "Goblin Fire," which can open the door to the human world. For one to obtain the rights, one must've attained a rightful amount of power. Now, Jae Hyuk is looking for ways to obtain power, so he can one day meet his little brother again in the human world.






Serin
A young, yet powerful, demon of Chaos and the one responsible for Jae Hyuk's death. She killed him while fighting, when Jae Hyuk was trying to bring his ill brother to the hospital. Feeling slightly guilty, she asks him "Do you want to live?", to which Jae Hyuk answers yes. She brings him from the dead, making him an undead, much to his disbelief, and ends up dragging him back to her world, the world of Chaos.
